The attention of all the under mentioned officers is invited to the references cited, wherein the Director of School Education, Andhra Pradesh has issued orders 

that the Government has undertaken several measures including strengthening of surveillance for prevention, containment, and control of COVID-19. After an intensive activity to control and contain novel coronavirus with multiple lockdowns, and gradual unlocking, the State has reached a stage where the number of cases is declining on a day-to-day basis. 

Further, after the steady decline in COVID-19 cases for about 5 months, for the last few weeks, the number of COVID cases is showing an increasing trend in several parts of the country. It has been observed that it is largely due to laxity in the observance of COVID appropriate behavior by the people, especially in crowded places. Keeping in view the fresh surge of cases and upcoming festivals, it will be important to ensure compliance of the guidelines/Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all activities in the schools issued by the Union/ State Governments and to strictly enforce COVID appropriate behavior, such as wearing of face masks, hand hygiene and social distancing among people. 

Therefore, all the Deputy Educational Officers/ Mandal Educational Officers or Deputy Inspector of Schools and all Headmasters of all management Schools in the District are requested to follow the guidelines to prevent spreading of second wave of COVID-19, so as to fully overcome the pandemic and the same may be widely disseminated to the field functionaries for implementation and to the public. 

  1. Check the Temperature of the students /teachers every day while entering the school premises with the IR thermometer. 

  2. Students and Teachers should attend school with masks. 

  3. Physical distance between the students should maintain in the classes 

  4. Frequent hand washing Wash hands with soap and water or use alcohol based hand rub Wash hands even if they are visibly clean. 

  5. Avoid participating in large gatherings. 

  6. Don't have close contact with anyone, if experiencing cough and fever 

  7. Don't Touch eyes, nose, and mouth, Spit in public. 

  8. If any student is suffering from a cold and cough, they are concerned to provide necessary medical assistance. 

  9. All class rooms, school premises, and its surroundings should be kept clean and Sanitize schools premises frequently. 

  10. Store and cooking rooms should be prepared in hygienic conditions. 

  11. Mid - day meals should be prepared in hygienic conditions. 

  12. Meal-Plates should be cleaned with soap water and kept dry before using plates.

  13. Leaf-Vegetables and Vegetables should be cleaned with salt water before using it. 

  14. Take precautions to control large gatherings of students while distribution of Mid Day Meals in Schools. 

  15. The Headmaster's Mid Day Meal in-charge teacher of the schools should see that more than “4” students have not gathered in a place before Mid Day Meal at the time of Mid Day Meal and after completion of meals in the schools. 

  16. Three-line message:

  2. Physical Distance: Aaruaduguladooram - Karonaameekudooram. 

  3. Hand Washing: ChethulaShubhram - AarogyamBhadram Mana Aarogyam - Mana Chethullo 

In view of the above, all the Deputy Educational Officers/ Mandal Educational Officers /Deputy Inspector of Schools in the District are instructed to circulate the above instructions to all the Headmasters of all schools under their jurisdiction immediately and submit compliance at once. 

This Should be treated as Most Urgent and any deviation in this regard will be viewed seriously.
